At approximately 2:50 a.m. on June 29, Frederick Police Department officers responded to a call about a suspicious vehicle in the 1300 block of Mulberry Court. This followed reports of someone breaking into cars near Hillcrest Drive and Orchard Drive. An officer located a vehicle believed to be involved and attempted to pull it over. The driver refused to stop, turning into a dead-end cul-de-sac on Mulberry Court. As the officer stepped out of his patrol vehicle and gave commands, the suspect drove toward him, prompting the officer to fire four rounds from his service weapon.
