Deputies responded to a call on Sunday, June 22, at a residence on Foresight Lane, where Liboula was found deceased. An autopsy conducted the next day confirmed that her death was a homicide, with signs of strangulation and blunt force trauma. Investigators believe the incident unfolded the previous night during a domestic dispute in which Obambe assaulted another adult woman living in the home. Liboula allegedly intervened during the assault. That other woman left the house that night, while Liboula remained and was found dead the following morning by family members.
