Obambe, who lived in the home with the victim and the assaulted woman, was detained during a search of the residence. After further questioning, he was arrested on Tuesday, June 24, and booked into the Frederick County Adult Detention Center. In addition to murder charges, he faces charges of second-degree assault and false imprisonment. Authorities have stated they do not believe anyone else was involved in the incident.
The investigation is ongoing, and local residents are encouraged to provide any relevant information to the Sheriff’s Office.
