Jackson Traylor, 26, of Dania Beach, has been indicted in Maryland on a single count of using a telecommunications device to harass, threaten, or abuse without revealing his identity. According to court filings, Traylor is accused of sending more than ten hateful messages between July 2024 and April 2025 to a Jewish individual originally from Maryland, using multiple phone numbers.
The messages reportedly included deeply offensive and threatening language invoking Holocaust imagery and antisemitic tropes. If convicted, Traylor could face up to two years in federal prison, although actual sentences may be less severe depending on federal sentencing guidelines.

This case highlights the federal government’s growing commitment to prosecuting online threats and hate-based harassment, particularly when it crosses state lines. Residents should be aware that sending such messages, even via text or anonymous calls, can lead to serious federal charges. The FBI’s Baltimore Field Office handled the investigation, and the case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Christopher Sarma.
It is important to note that an indictment is not a conviction, and Traylor remains presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
