Jairo Amaya Sorto, a Leesburg resident, surrendered to police on June 15 and is charged with robbery using a firearm. He was transported to the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center and is being held without bond. Authorities allege he was involved in the early morning robbery on May 8 at the Sheetz on Edwards Ferry Road NW, where two masked suspects entered the store, displayed a firearm, and demanded cash. A third suspect remained outside. All three individuals wore dark clothing and masks during the incident. The two additional suspects remain unidentified as the investigation continues.
This arrest follows another armed robbery at the same Sheetz location on June 3, when two 19-year-olds—Fidel Ordonez Molina and Jose A. Rosa Munoz—were arrested. They were charged with similar offenses, including robbery using a firearm and violent activities while wearing a mask. Ordonez Molina also faces a larceny charge. Both are being held without bond.
