According to court documents, Bailey conspired to possess and intended to distribute at least five grams of methamphetamine, placing his case within the range of federal sentencing guidelines that call for between five and 40 years of incarceration. The presence of a firearm further complicates the case and may influence the severity of the sentence handed down.

Federal law enforcement agencies, including the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, along with local officers from the Stonewood Police Department, conducted the investigation that led to Bailey’s arrest. The case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Christie Utt, with sentencing to be determined by a federal district court judge.
