A Harrison County resident has been sentenced to 15 years in federal prison for his role in trafficking methamphetamine throughout the area, following an investigation that uncovered illegal drug activity linked to his apartment in Mount Clare, West Virginia. Authorities say the man also used social media to conduct drug sales.

Shawn Michael Bork, 49, was sentenced to 180 months by Chief U.S. District Judge Thomas S. Kleeh. A law enforcement search of his residence led to the discovery of methamphetamine, fentanyl, a firearm, and $166,315 in cash hidden in a duffle bag. The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of West Virginia confirmed Bork’s prior criminal history, which includes charges related to drug trafficking, obstruction, harassment, and violating a domestic violence order.
Following his prison sentence, Bork will be subject to three years of supervised release. Prosecutors stated that Bork used online platforms as part of his drug distribution methods, further complicating the criminal activity.
