Deputies with the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office responded to the school on April 11 after a report that a student had been struck on the buttocks with a rubber sex toy while fully clothed. Shortly after, three other students allegedly held the victim down and forced the object into his mouth while a fourth recorded the incident. As detectives pursued the case, they uncovered an earlier, similar assault on April 3, in which another student was restrained while students attempted to force the same type of object into his mouth. That assault was also recorded. Two of the individuals in the April 3 incident were also implicated in the April 11 case.
Following a review by the Frederick County State’s Attorney’s Office, five boys—ages 15 to 17—have been charged through the Department of Juvenile Services. The charges vary, with the most serious including a fourth-degree sex offense and visual surveillance of a private area. Others face multiple counts of second-degree assault. Because all of those involved are minors, no names have been released.
