The expanded recall now covers additional models and production years, specifically including 2016 Drive Gas/Electric models, 2017–2024 Drive 2 Gas/Electric models, 2016–2018 Adventurer vehicles, and 2019–2024 UMAX models. Affected vehicles were sold in various colors with serial numbers varying by model type. The model name can be found on the sides of the vehicle, while serial numbers are located in different areas depending on the model. Yamaha advises customers who cannot locate their serial numbers to contact the company for assistance.
Consumers are urged to immediately stop using the recalled vehicles, even if they had previously been repaired under earlier recalls. Yamaha will provide a free replacement of the accelerator pedal spring assembly through authorized dealers. The company has also committed to offering mobile service or transportation of vehicles if required. Registered owners are being contacted directly to arrange the updated repairs.
