Over 1,400 infant swings sold under the Nezmdi brand have been recalled following federal safety concerns, including risks of suffocation and serious injury or death. The swings, exclusively sold through Amazon.com between September 2024 and February 2025, were marketed for infant sleep despite an incline angle that violates the Safe Sleep for Babies Act. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced the recall on May 22, 2025.

The Nezmdi swings, bearing the model number S0008, fail to meet multiple federal safety requirements. Along with the unsafe incline angle, the products do not include mandatory warnings as required by federal swing regulations. Additionally, the included remote control contains a lithium coin battery but lacks the safety warnings mandated under Reese’s Law, which governs consumer products that include button or coin cell batteries due to ingestion risks for children.
The swings were manufactured in China by Ningboyingpengdianzishangwuyouxiangongsi, operating under the name YingPengStore, and retailed for approximately $70. They were sold in pink with a white base and black control panel, and included features such as hanging plush toys, a mosquito net canopy, and a remote control. Identification details such as the model number and branding appear on labels under the seat and on the restraints.

No injuries or incidents have been reported to date. Consumers in possession of the recalled swings are advised to immediately stop using them and contact Nezmdi for a full refund. Refund processing requires consumers to submit a photo of the swing cover cut in half and marked “Recalled” to the company’s email address, after which the product should be properly disposed of according to local regulations. Nezmdi is in the process of contacting all known purchasers.
