The suspect was apprehended on an administrative arrest warrant and transported to the Hidalgo Port of Entry, where authorities confirmed his identity and unlawful presence in the United States. According to official records, the man had been previously deported in April 2023. Further checks revealed a criminal history spanning more than two decades, including convictions for assault, driving while intoxicated, possession of cocaine, forgery, and discharging a firearm.
CBP officials charged the man with violations of U.S. immigration law, specifically for alleged illegal re-entry following deportation. The arrest underscores CBP’s efforts to locate and remove individuals with criminal backgrounds who have re-entered the country unlawfully. The operation was carried out without injuries or incidents, according to authorities.
