Federal safety regulators have issued a warning to consumers about Pulse Performance Products Electric Quad Youth ATVs, citing serious safety violations that could lead to injury or death. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) is calling on the public to stop using these youth ATVs immediately and dispose of them properly, as the vehicles fail to meet multiple federal safety standards required for all-terrain vehicles.

According to the CPSC, the ATVs are missing critical safety features, including parking brakes and visibility reflectors. The absence of these components increases the risk of collisions by making the vehicles harder for others to see. Additionally, the mechanical suspension system does not meet required safety specifications, further compounding crash risks. These violations represent a failure to comply with mandatory federal regulations designed to protect young riders.
Federal law also mandates that manufacturers of youth ATVs must submit an approved ATV action plan to the CPSC before distributing such products in the U.S. These action plans typically cover safety training, age-appropriate use, and the distribution of safety information. Pulse Performance Products did not meet this requirement, further contributing to the regulatory violations outlined by the CPSC.

The seller of these ATVs, Bravo Sports, was previously located in Santa Fe Springs, California, but is no longer in business and cannot conduct a product recall. The affected products were sold online, primarily through Walmart.com, between February 2019 and June 2024 at a retail price of approximately $340. They are identifiable by their black color, the red number “99” on the front fender, and the brand name “PULSE PERFORMANCE PRODUCTS” printed in white on the body.
These ATVs were manufactured in China and pose significant safety risks to young users. The CPSC warns consumers not to sell or give away these products and encourages anyone who has experienced issues with the ATVs to file a report at www.SaferProducts.gov.
