A recall has been issued for nearly 1,000 children’s pajama sets sold under the BuddyLove brand due to a serious burn hazard. The garments, known as Mini Danica Loungewear Sets, were found to violate federal flammability standards for children’s sleepwear, posing a risk of severe injury or death. No injuries have been reported to date.

The recall applies to five different styles of two-piece pajama sets—Sugar Berry (BK1105), Tartan (BK1006), Frostbite (BK1107), Kris Kringle (BK1108), and Prowl (BK1109)—which were available in children’s sizes 3 to 12. Each set features a long-sleeved, button-up top and matching pants, adorned with detachable feathers at the wrists and ankles. The garments also include front shirt pockets and labeled information on fiber content, style number, and origin.
The affected pajama sets were sold between October 2023 and July 2024 for approximately $95 at BuddyLove’s website and through boutique retailers nationwide. Manufactured in China and imported by BuddyLove of Dallas, Texas, the sets failed to meet safety regulations designed to prevent burn injuries in children.

Consumers are urged to discontinue use of the loungewear immediately. To receive a full refund or store credit, purchasers must destroy the garments by cutting them in half and sending a photo of the destroyed item to Recall@buddylove.com. Once verified, BuddyLove will process the refund. The company is reaching out directly to all known buyers.
