Macy’s has issued a voluntary recall of approximately 16,300 Holiday Lane infant footed pajamas after identifying a potential injury hazard linked to the ankle elastic on the garments. The affected products include five styles of cotton footed pajamas available in infant sizes ranging from 0 to 9 months. Each has “Holiday Lane” printed on the neck label, and PID/style numbers on the care tags sewn into the side seam. The styles involved in the recall are: Merry Mix It (100189404), Family Plaid (100191005), Winterton Plaid (100189223), Star (100196695), and Floral (100180930). These items were sold for around $27 in Macy’s stores nationwide, including Macy’s Backstage, and on the company’s website.
Macy’s has received four reports from consumers about the elastic leaving marks or causing chafing on infants’ ankles. In some cases, the circulation in the legs was affected. While no serious injuries have been confirmed, the retailer is urging customers to immediately stop using the recalled pajamas and to keep them out of reach of children.
