A Baltimore resident has entered a guilty plea in a federal firearms trafficking case involving the illegal sale of weapons to an undercover agent. Steven Lee, 38, admitted to conspiring with another individual to sell a total of ten firearms, some of which had been reported stolen, and one equipped with a machinegun conversion device. The transactions took place in April 2024, with Lee now facing a potential sentence of up to 15 years in federal prison.

According to court documents, Lee and co-conspirator Cedrick Brinkley coordinated two illegal firearms sales on April 17 and April 24, 2024. During the first meeting, both men were present and sold five pistols to an undercover agent for $6,100, fully aware that the weapons were intended for resale in New Jersey. A week later, Brinkley again met with the agent to deliver five more firearms. Though Lee did not attend the second meeting in person, he participated via speakerphone to finalize pricing and confirm the specifications of the firearms, including one that had been illegally modified.

The second transaction concluded with a $7,800 payment from the undercover agent. Among the weapons sold, three had been reported stolen, and one featured a conversion device capable of turning it into a machinegun. Surveillance confirmed Lee’s involvement in both exchanges, and a later search of his residence on July 2, 2024, uncovered an illegally possessed loaded pistol and ammunition. As a convicted felon, Lee is barred from owning firearms or ammunition.
