The annual event recognizes the behind-the-scenes professionals who serve as the critical first contact in emergency situations, highlighting their dedication and achievements.

Among the recipients was Warren Royce, honored with the Career Commitment Award for his decades of service and unmatched expertise in fire dispatch operations. Since 2004, Royce has been a central figure in coordinating emergency response, known for his deep knowledge of unit logistics and river access routes crucial during water-related incidents. His willingness to share knowledge and step in during high-pressure events has made him an indispensable part of the team.
Todd Nesbitt received the Dispatcher of the Year Award for his exceptional service and team spirit. Since joining the center in 2019, he has risen quickly through the ranks and is widely respected for his operational knowledge and calm under pressure. Nesbitt also plays a key role in mentoring others and ensuring coverage during staffing shortages, while contributing to workplace morale with a positive attitude and camaraderie.

The Medal of Dedication was awarded to Amanda Wagner and Kendall Kennedy, both long-serving dispatchers known for their dependability and calm presence during emergencies. Their consistent performance and reliability have made them vital to the 911 center’s operations, especially in high-pressure situations that require quick decision-making and composure.
