According to the company, the lithium-ion battery in the affected power banks can overheat, catch fire, or expand while in use. Casely has received 51 reports of overheating incidents, including six cases resulting in minor burn injuries. The power banks, which are pocket-sized and weigh about 3.2 ounces, were offered in various colors and designs. The name “Casely” appears on the front, and the model number is printed on the back.
Consumers are urged to stop using the power banks immediately and dispose of them in accordance with hazardous waste regulations. These lithium-ion batteries should not be thrown in the trash or placed in regular recycling bins. Local household hazardous waste facilities may accept them, but individuals should contact centers in advance to confirm acceptance of recalled batteries.

Casely is offering a free replacement for affected customers. To receive it, consumers must visit the company’s recall page and upload two photographs: one of the front of the power bank labeled “Recalled” with the date written in permanent marker, and another showing the model number on the back. Proof of purchase is not required, and Casely is proactively reaching out to known buyers.
The recalled devices were manufactured in China and imported by Casely Inc., based in Brooklyn, New York.
