Recent police activity in Waynesboro has resulted in several juvenile citations and adult arrests over the course of late February and March. A series of unrelated incidents led to charges including arson, robbery, and disorderly conduct. Authorities released a summary of the cases to highlight public safety concerns and ongoing enforcement efforts in the borough.

Three 13-year-old males were cited for two counts of arson following an incident reported on February 26 at 7:02 p.m. on W. North Street. In a separate case, a 15-year-old male was charged with criminal mischief after police responded to an incident on March 6 at 2:40 p.m. on E. Main Street. A 16-year-old male was also charged during the period for one count of robbery, while a 17-year-old male was cited for harassment related to an assault that occurred on March 21 at 5:25 p.m. on N. Broad Street.
In another case, police cited a 14-year-old and a 16-year-old male for violating the borough’s curfew ordinance. Officers made contact with the two juveniles at 1:26 a.m. on March 29 on W. Second Street. These curfew violations occurred during early morning hours, a time when youth are generally expected to be home under borough regulations.

In addition to juvenile-related incidents, police also cited several adults in late March. Tyran J. Washington, with no fixed address, received a citation for public drunkenness after officers encountered him on E. Second Street at 10:21 p.m. on March 29. The next day, Adam J. Fischer of Waynesboro was cited for disorderly conduct. Matthew A. Sanders, also of Waynesboro, was cited for both disorderly conduct and public drunkenness after a fight on Cleveland Avenue at 1:09 a.m. on March 30.
