Angad S. Sivia, 33, was formally indicted by a Loudoun County Grand Jury on April 15, 2025. The charge, filed under Virginia Code § 46.2-894, stems from a crash that occurred on October 23, 2024, at the intersection of Fort Evans Road NE and the Leesburg Bypass. According to investigators, a tractor-trailer ran a red light and collided with a Chrysler 300 carrying three people. The truck’s driver left the scene, and the vehicle was later found abandoned on Edwards Ferry Road NE.
One of the Chrysler’s passengers, 93-year-old Monica Lee of Lovettsville, died from her injuries three days after the crash. The two other occupants, including the driver, were hospitalized and later released. The Leesburg Police Department’s Crash Reconstruction Team conducted a thorough investigation, ultimately identifying Sivia as the driver of the semi-truck involved in the fatal collision.
