A 16-year-old male was arrested by U.S. Border Patrol agents in the early hours of April 4 after attempting to pass firearms, knives, and ammunition into Mexico through a border barrier near Nogales, Arizona. The incident, which occurred around 1:45 a.m., was detected through surveillance technology employed by agents at the Nogales Station.

According to authorities, the teen was seen carrying a large duffel bag and approaching the border barrier. Surveillance footage captured the moment he attempted to push the bag through the barrier before fleeing the scene. Agents patrolling nearby quickly intercepted and detained the suspect, recovering the bag in the process.

Inside the duffel bag, agents discovered an AR-style rifle, a pistol, two knives, and several ammunition magazines. The teen, identified as a local resident, was transported to the Nogales Border Patrol Station for processing following his arrest.
