LaRose Industries has issued a recall for approximately 224,100 Cra-Z-Art Gemex and Gel2Gem jewelry-making kits due to potential health hazards. The kits contain a liquid resin that may cause skin, eye, and respiratory irritation or sensitization when touched, inhaled, or ingested. The resin includes hydroxyethylmethacrylate (HEMA), a substance prohibited in children’s products by the Federal Hazardous Substances Act. Consumers are advised to stop using the kits immediately and contact LaRose Industries for a full refund.

The recall covers 10 different jewelry-making kits and one refill pack, sold between January 2023 and September 2024.
