The issue was identified on March 14, 2025, when a customer complaint revealed that the cheesecake contained pecans, despite the label not indicating the presence of the allergen. Dessert Holdings has since corrected the labeling issue. No illnesses or adverse reactions related to the product have been reported to date. The recall does not affect any other lot codes or production dates.
The affected product was distributed between February 14, 2025, and March 7, 2025, to Target Distribution Centers in California, Florida, Iowa, Ohio, and Texas. The cheesecake is sold in Target stores and packaged in clear plastic clam shells, with the lot code printed on the side of the lid.
