The affected product was sold in clear 8-ounce packages with a blue overwrap label, bearing the expiration date 01/16/2026 and UPC code 0-95864-80008-8. One allergic reaction linked to the product has been reported so far. The issue was identified following a consumer complaint, prompting an internal investigation that revealed the presence of egg in packages that failed to disclose it on the label.
Consumers with egg allergies are advised not to consume the product and to return it to any Caraluzzi’s location for a full refund. The mislabeled burgers have since been pulled from shelves. Customers seeking more information can reach out to the company via email at customerservice@caraluzzis.com, by calling 203-748-3547, or by visiting the customer service desk at any Caraluzzi’s store.
