The recall affects approximately 61,500 bottles from two specific lot numbers. The affected products were sold at Trader Joe’s locations across several states between December 2024 and January 2025. Consumers are advised to stop using the recalled bottles and return them for a full refund.

The recall applies to Gerolsteiner 750ml glass bottles with a white, blue, and red label displaying the brand name. The impacted lot numbers are 11/28/2024 L and 11/27/2024 L, found on the lower part of the label. The manufacturer, Gerolsteiner Brunnen GmbH & Co. KG, based in Germany, has not reported any injuries or incidents related to the defect. However, the company urges consumers to take precautions and return affected bottles.

Trader Joe’s stores in Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Kansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Texas carried the recalled product, which retailed for about $3 per bottle. Customers returning the product will receive a refund in cash or store credit without the need for a receipt. Gerolsteiner has set up a customer service line and website to assist with inquiries.
