A fire broke out in a single-story manufactured home in Friendsville, Maryland, on Monday afternoon, causing an estimated $90,000 in structural damage and an additional $15,000 in lost contents. The fire, reported at 3:15 p.m., was discovered by an occupant who saw smoke and flames in the kitchen before calling 911.

Firefighters from Friendsville Volunteer Fire & Rescue Department responded to the scene with 45 personnel and brought the blaze under control within 30 minutes. The home’s smoke alarms were present but did not activate, and no fire alarm or sprinkler system was in place. No injuries or fatalities were reported, though one dog was rescued from under a bed by firefighters.
