The affected LG models were sold nationwide at major retailers such as Best Buy, Costco, The Home Depot, and Lowe’s, as well as online at LG.com, between 2015 and January 2025. Prices ranged from $1,400 to $2,650. The impacted models were manufactured in Mexico and Korea, and the model and serial numbers can be found inside the oven door or storage drawer. Consumers can check the full list of recalled models through LG’s recall website.

The CPSC has documented at least 86 reports of accidental activation of the ranges, leading to more than 28 fires. Five of these fires caused significant property damage exceeding $340,000, while eight minor injuries, including burns, have also been reported. Additionally, at least three fires resulted in the deaths of pets.

LG is offering consumers a free warning label and placement instructions to help mitigate the risk. The label reminds users to activate the Control Lock or Lock Out feature on the range to disable heating elements when not in use. LG has also provided an instructional video demonstrating the use of this safety feature. Consumers are urged to contact LG at 800-399-3265 or visit https://lgecares.com/rangerecall to request the warning label and instructions.

The CPSC advises owners of the recalled ranges to take additional precautions, including keeping children and pets away from the stove, ensuring knobs are in the off position before leaving home or going to bed, and avoiding placing objects on the stove when it is not in use.
