A fatal collision occurred early Tuesday morning in Hagerstown, where an SUV crashed into the back of a tractor-trailer. Authorities responded to the incident at the intersection of Halfway Boulevard and Interstate 81 at approximately 4:00 a.m. Upon arrival, officers found the SUV driver unresponsive and immediately began CPR. Emergency medical personnel later pronounced the driver deceased at the scene. The tractor-trailer driver was uninjured.

The victim has been identified as 64-year-old Theresa Marie Poffenberger of Hagerstown. Officials have confirmed that her next of kin has been notified. No further details regarding the cause of the crash have been released at this time.
