HAGERSTOWN, MD News (10/28/2024) – The Washington County Planning Commission has released the final draft of the Comprehensive Plan 2040, a guiding document for the county’s land use and growth management over the next two decades. The draft is now open for a 60-day public comment period, allowing residents, stakeholders, and local businesses to offer feedback on proposed policies and objectives.

Community members are encouraged to review the draft online at Washington County’s Planning and Zoning website, submit feedback via email, or attend a public hearing in January 2025. The comment period will conclude on January 31, 2025, after which the plan will be reviewed and potentially approved by the Board of County Commissioners.
