WAYNESBORO, PA News (10/24/2024) – A Williamsport, Maryland man has been charged with his second DUI offense this year following an accident in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania. On October 5, 2024, at approximately 6:14 p.m., Kelly J. Moats, 37, was involved in an accident on N. Potomac Street. After the incident, he was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol and/or a controlled substance, as well as one count of driving with a suspended or revoked license.

The Maryland case concluded on August 7, 2024, after Moats entered a guilty plea. He was sentenced to 18 months of supervised probation under a probation-before-judgment ruling by Judge Mark D. Thomas. There were no personal injuries or property damage reported in that incident.

Moats remains innocent until proven guilty regarding the latest DUI charges.
