HAGERSTOWN, MD News (6/12/2024) – The Washington County NAACP is set to host its third Black Market event, aiming to empower and uplift local black-owned small businesses. The event will take place on June 22 from 11 AM to 3 PM at the Church Street Parking Lot, located at 25 W Church St, Hagerstown, MD.
The Black Market initiative, led by the NAACP’s Business & Economic Development Chair, Kalim Johnson, is designed to provide black-owned businesses with a low-cost space to showcase their products and services. This initiative aligns with the branch’s motto, “lifting as we climb,” emphasizing collaboration, support, and celebration of community achievements.

Key Objectives of the Black Market
