Sheriff’s Office Seeks Information Regarding Indecent Exposure Incident in Smithsburg
Smithsburg, MD – May 20, 2024
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office is requesting public assistance in an investigation concerning an indecent exposure incident that occurred on Sunday, May 19, 2024. Between 5:45 PM and 6:11 PM, a male suspect indecently exposed himself to a pedestrian who was walking with children on Geiser Way in Smithsburg, MD.

The suspect is described as a white male in his 20s with dark hair and dark features. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a baseball hat and a possibly white T-shirt. Additionally, the suspect was seen driving a white Lexus, which had no front registration plate but may have had a rear Maryland plate.
The vehicle was last observed driving on Geiser Way towards Cave Hill Road in Smithsburg. The Sheriff’s Office is urging anyone who might have information about the incident or the suspect to come forward. SGT Teets can be contacted via email at bteets@washco-md.net. Participants in the program will provide essential details, including the owner’s contact information as well as the bicycle’s make, model, and serial number. This information will be securely stored in a database maintained by the Sheriff’s Office.
