HAGERSTOWN, MD News (2/27/2024) – Achieving True Self in Hagerstown recently celebrated the unveiling of its new facility on February 22, 2024, dedicated to providing essential services for individuals diagnosed with autism, spanning from birth to 21 years of age, as well as extending support to community organizations.

Recognizing the pressing need for these critical services in Washington County, Achieving True Self has embarked on a mission to offer life-changing and medically necessary support to families. Bolstering their efforts, the organization recently secured grant funding from the Maryland Consortium on Coordinated Community Supports, enabling them to roll out a comprehensive suite of services, including social skills groups, parent training, behavioral consultation, and related support services across the county.

The inauguration of the new center signifies a significant expansion of Achieving True Self’s reach and impact within Washington County. Initially focusing on programming tailored to children under the age of six, the center is poised to cater to the unique needs of its young clientele. Designed with careful consideration, the new facility boasts an impressive layout geared towards optimizing client experience. Private rooms are complemented by open spaces conducive to group activities, alongside dedicated office space and an area designated for the preparation of enrichment materials.

The ceremonial ribbon cutting, orchestrated by the Washington County Chamber of Commerce, underscored the community’s collective support for Achieving True Self’s endeavors. Local elected officials’ offices, alongside representatives from the Washington County Department of Business Development, joined in presenting proclamations, underscoring the significance of this milestone. Addressing the gathered audience, CEO and Founder of Achieving True Self, Rick Murray, took a moment to reflect on the organization’s journey, expressing gratitude to his dedicated staff members for their unwavering commitment to the cause.

The new center, located at 16619 Hunters Green Pkwy, Suite 100, Hagerstown, MD 21740, stands as a testament to Achieving True Self’s unwavering dedication to serving the community and empowering individuals with autism to reach their fullest potential.
