WILLIAMSPORT, Maryland News (10/26/2023) – In a significant development in the case of the wanted homicide suspect Pedro Argote, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office reported that during an expanded evidentiary search in the Williamsport, Maryland area. On October 26, 2023, at approximately 11:00 AM, a deceased person was located in a heavily wooded area between Clear Spring Road and Bottom Road, approximately 1 mile Northwest of where the suspect’s vehicle was found.

The deceased individual has been positively identified as Pedro Argote, the prime suspect wanted for the murder of Maryland Circuit Court Judge Andrew Wilkinson. The WCSO, in collaboration with other law enforcement agencies, had been intensively pursuing Argote since he was named as the suspect in the fatal shooting of Judge Wilkinson.
The circumstances surrounding Argote’s death are under investigation, and the WCSO has not yet released details regarding the cause of death. It is important to note that Pedro Argote was considered armed and dangerous when he was at large.
