City Park’s four museums—the Washington County Museum of Fine Arts, the Mansion House Art Center & Gallery (headquarters for the Valley Art Association), the City Park Train Hub, and the Jonathan Hager House and Museum—will each be offering free tours and activities.
The Hager House and the Museum of Fine Arts will be displaying the Plein Air Art Exhibit, comprised of 46 paintings, watercolors, a wood block carving, and prints created by local artists of all ages just a few weeks ago at the park.
In addition, Bester Community of Hope will be presenting the 8th annual South End Community Block Party between the band shell and concession stand. From 11am-3pm, the south side of the park will be hosting live musical entertainment with Groovalicious performing from noon-3pm, community resource vendors, a Stars Wars character meet-and-greet, and the opportunity to play games such as laser and archery tag.
Beginning at 4pm, attendees are encouraged to migrate to the Museum Drive lake area to check out the food and craft vendors and enjoy the wandering entertainment and music leading up to the fireworks display on the lake at 7:30pm.
