MARYLAND News (8/16/2023) – The Maryland Affordable Housing Trust is now welcoming applications for projects aimed at enhancing the accessibility of affordable housing across the state. The trust offers support to households with earnings below 50% of the Area Median Income.
Projects catering to households earning less than 30% of the Area Median Income are prioritized. These projects encompass:
- Securing funding for capital expenses related to affordable rental housing and homeownership units.
- Extending financial aid to boost the capabilities and output of nonprofit developers focused on affordable housing.
- Allocating funds for supportive services benefiting residents of affordable housing.
- Offering operational assistance to communities dedicated to affordable housing.
Eligibility extends to Nonprofit Organizations, Public Housing Agencies/Authorities, Government Agencies, and For-Profit Entities. Those interested must submit their applications by Thursday, September 7. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to contribute to Maryland’s affordable housing initiatives.
