Beginning shortly after 8:00 p.m. EST on Election Day, the live stream will broadcast exclusively on RFHC’s Rumble channel.

HAGERSTOWN, Md. – When the polls close across the Free State on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, Radio Free Hub City (RFHC) will kick off its live election night broadcast, bringing real-time local results, unfiltered commentary, and a dose of community satire to viewers across Washington County and the surrounding Tri-State region.

Beginning shortly after 8:00 p.m. EST, the live stream will broadcast exclusively on RFHC’s Rumble channel. Anchored by RFHC President and founder Ken Buckler, the broadcast aims to deliver the fast, grassroots coverage of local races that corporate and regional outlets often overlook.

Local Focus: Washington County and Beyond

While national cable networks fixate on Capitol Hill and battleground states, RFHC’s election night desk will keep its spotlight focused squarely on the local and regional contests impacting Western Maryland:

  • Washington County Board of County Commissioners: Real-time returns and precinct tallies as voters choose the five commissioners who will steer county policy, infrastructure, and budgeting.
  • Washington County Board of Education: Tracking the pivotal nonpartisan race for local school board seats.
  • Maryland General Assembly: Coverage of the local state Senate and House of Delegates races representing Hagerstown and the county’s outlying communities.
  • Surrounding Regional Races: Select looks at key ballot measure decisions, regional county races, and federal contests across Western Maryland and surrounding states.

The broadcast will track election data directly as local results begin trickling in from the Washington County Board of Elections and surrounding jurisdictions.

The Main Event: “Thank You for Not Electing Ken Buckler”

In true Radio Free Hub City fashion, the evening will not just be about spreadsheets, bar graphs, and candidate speeches. Alongside the serious civic reporting, the stream will host the “Thank You for Not Electing Ken Buckler” Satirical Party—an ongoing local tradition celebrating the fact that, once again, area voters wisely exercised restraint by declining to write in his name for public office.

“Every election cycle, a handful of well-meaning—or deeply confused—voters scribble my name into a write-in blank for everything from County Commissioner to local dogcatcher,” Buckler joked. “Running an independent news platform, digging through public records, and keeping our local government accountable is exhausting enough. The last thing anyone in Washington County needs—myself included—is Ken Buckler actually winning an office and being forced to sit in executive sessions all day.”

The satirical celebration will run throughout the broadcast, featuring tongue-in-cheek commentary as write-in vote figures are released, self-deprecating reviews of “missed campaign opportunities,” and toasts to the wisdom of the electorate for keeping RFHC’s newsroom staffed instead of dispatching its editor to county hall.
