Chambersburg Police Seek Public’s Assistance in Locating Individuals Wanted for Various Crimes

The Chambersburg Police Department is actively seeking information regarding the whereabouts of several individuals wanted for a range of offenses, including forgery, simple assault, theft, and terroristic threats. The department has issued arrest warrants for these individuals and is urging the public to come forward with any relevant details that could aid in their apprehension. Law enforcement emphasizes that all individuals named are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Among those sought is Chad J. Groft, a 42-year-old white male wanted for forgery. Groft is accused of forging and cashing four checks before the fraudulent activity was detected. He is also reported to have used a driver’s license belonging to his deceased brother, presenting it as his own identification. Groft is described as being 5’10” tall, weighing approximately 180 lbs, with black hair and brown eyes. The alleged forgery incidents are linked to the 200 block of South Main Street in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania.

Two separate warrants have been issued for Tyqwaan Hezekiah Thomas, a 27-year-old black male. Thomas is wanted for simple assault stemming from an incident on August 5, 2026, where he allegedly punched a victim, causing a laceration near the eye. In addition to the assault charge, Thomas is also wanted for theft by unlawful taking, related to the alleged stealing of vehicle keys from a victim on the same date. Thomas is described as 6’0″ tall, weighing about 185 lbs, with black hair and brown eyes. The incidents are associated with locations in the 100 block of East Washington Street and the 100 block of East Queen Street in Chambersburg.

Additionally, Brodrick R. Fields, a 29-year-old black male, is wanted for terroristic threats, simple assault, and criminal mischief, all resulting from a domestic violence incident. Fields reportedly fled the scene before law enforcement arrived. He is described as 5’11” tall, weighing approximately 150 lbs, with black hair and brown eyes. The incident is connected to the 200 block of South Main Street in Chambersburg.
