HAGERSTOWN, MD – J’Da Beauty Bar is celebrating its grand opening on Thursday, July 9, 2026, at 11:00 am, located at 815 S. Potomac Street in Hagerstown. The new salon, founded by recent Award Beauty School graduate Aneekie Lawrence, aims to provide comprehensive hair care services for all ages, from children to senior citizens. The public, community members, and friends are invited to attend the ribbon-cutting ceremony and explore the facility.
Lawrence, the owner and lead stylist, envisioned J’Da Beauty Bar as a business that brings joy and dignity to individuals at every stage of life. After graduating from Award Beauty School in December 2024 and passing her State Board examination in February, she focused on establishing a salon that caters to the diverse needs of the Hagerstown community. The salon will accommodate a wide range of hair textures and styling preferences, with services including braids, cornrows, weaves, hair extensions, custom wigs, locks, twists, relaxers, perms, deep conditioning, scalp treatments, washing, drying, and root maintenance.

We didn't pick our name by accident. We don't lock our news behind a paywall, will you help us keep it that way? If you're tired of news sweetened with confirmation bias that never questions the 'official story', consider becoming a monthly supporter. The grand opening event will provide an opportunity for attendees to tour the newly renovated space and meet the styling team. J’Da Beauty Bar is also open to booking inquiries for all age groups and is looking to partner with area care coordinators to arrange appointments for seniors, whether individually or in groups.
The salon’s commitment to inclusive, multi-generational hair care is a central aspect of its mission. Lawrence stated that hair is a deeply personal aspect of an individual’s identity and that everyone deserves to look and feel their best, regardless of age or specific hair needs.
