Two new probation officers have been sworn into the Franklin County Adult Probation Department, a move intended to bolster the department’s capacity to serve the county’s residents. The official swearing-in ceremony, which took place on May 28, was presided over by President Judge Shawn D. Meyers and included Judge Mary Beth Shank, as well as members of the probation department and the families of the new officers.
Officer Jenna Reiber, who holds a degree in criminal justice from Shippensburg University, has been appointed as an intake probation officer. Officer Alyssa Riddell, a graduate of York College with a criminal justice degree, will serve as an intensive drug and alcohol probation officer. Both officers took an oath to uphold their duties with fairness, impartiality, honor, and integrity, and to adhere to the rules and orders of the court.
