A Harrisburg man has received a substantial prison sentence for his involvement in drug trafficking, as announced by the United States Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania. Aaron Williams, 54, was sentenced by United States District Judge Jennifer P. Wilson to 15 years in federal prison, followed by a 10-year term of supervised release. This sentence is a consequence of his conviction for possessing cocaine with the intent to distribute over 500 grams of the substance.
The case against Williams stemmed from a series of events that began in May 2023. During that month, Williams was found to have sold more than 80 grams of crack cocaine to an individual in Harrisburg. This transaction led to further investigation by law enforcement. Subsequently, a search warrant was executed at Williams’s residence in Harrisburg. During the search, authorities discovered significant quantities of both powder and crack cocaine, totaling over 400 grams of powder cocaine and more than 300 grams of crack cocaine. In addition to the drugs, law enforcement also seized over $7,000 in cash from the property. The investigation and prosecution of this case were handled by the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Harrisburg Police Bureau, with Assistant United States Attorney Carlo D. Marchioli serving as the prosecutor.
