Upon their arrival, deputies determined that the incident involved a 2019 Suzuki motorcycle and a 2013 Honda passenger vehicle. The investigation indicates that the motorcycle, operated by 23-year-old Christoph Kenny of Ijamsville, rear-ended the Honda. As a result of the collision, Mr. Kenny was ejected from his motorcycle and sustained severe injuries. Despite immediate life-saving efforts by DFRS personnel, he was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver of the Honda was transported to a local hospital for treatment of injuries that were not considered life-threatening. The Frederick County Sheriff’s Office is actively investigating the circumstances surrounding this fatal crash.
