As the investigation progressed, detectives identified four suspects: Demarion Lazivior Scott, 17, of Frederick, MD (charged as an adult); Josiah Dante James-Moore, 18, of Frederick, MD; Deantoine Orrin Gaines Jr., 21, of Frederick, MD; and Sherria Monet Teasley, 18, of Frederick, MD. All four have been charged with Armed Robbery, Conspiracy to Commit Armed Robbery, and Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony/Violent Crime.

Scott and James-Moore were already in custody on unrelated firearms charges when arrest warrants were issued for them in connection with this case.

During a separate firearms investigation, detectives recovered the handgun that had been stolen in the February 19th robbery. This recovery occurred on March 5, 2026, while executing a search warrant at a residence in the 100 block of West South Street in Frederick.

Further investigative actions on April 9, 2026, involved the execution of search warrants at two Frederick locations: 1700 block of Dogwood Drive and the 7100 block of Gresham Court East. At the Dogwood Drive address, Deantoine Gaines was apprehended. A Polymer80 ‘ghost gun’ handgun, which lacks a serial number, was discovered in his bedroom. Evidence related to the armed robbery was also found at the Gresham Court East location.

Sherria Monet Teasley was arrested on April 16, 2026, fulfilling her outstanding warrant. In addition to the armed robbery charges, Deantoine Gaines faces a charge for possession of a firearm without a serial number. The Frederick County Sheriff’s Office is encouraging anyone with additional information regarding this investigation to come forward.
