This summer, select Gaylord Hotels will transform into hubs for DC Super Hero adventures. This program, a continuation of the brand’s partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Experiences, will immerse guests in the worlds of legendary DC characters. Visitors can expect an array of activities, including themed atrium light shows, interactive scavenger hunts designed to test problem-solving skills, character dining experiences, and specialized water park events. “Super Hero Summer” is expanding its reach, with new activations at Gaylord National Resort in National Harbor, Maryland, and Gaylord Pacific Resort in Chula Vista, California. It will also return to Gaylord Palms Resort in Kissimmee, Florida, and Gaylord Rockies Resort in Aurora, Colorado.
Highlights of the “Super Hero Summer” programming include a “DC Super Hero’s Mission Checklist” that guests receive upon check-in, guiding them through various resort challenges. A “Battle for Justice Light Show” promises a visual spectacle of heroes and villains. The “Revenge of the Riddler Scavenger Hunt” challenges participants to solve puzzles throughout the resort. A “DC Super Hero Academy Live Show” aims to engage younger guests with stories and interactive elements, potentially featuring surprise character appearances. For those looking to cool off, the “DC Super Hero Splash Bash” offers poolside fun with games and music. Dining options will feature a “Hall of Justice Character Dining” experience and a special “DC Super Hero Menu” with themed food items. Additionally, an “Legends in the Making Overnight Package” is available, which includes the scavenger hunt, a resort credit, and a superhero-themed cape. It is important to note that specific activations and daily offerings will vary by resort.
Concurrently, Gaylord Opryland Resort in Nashville, Tennessee, and Gaylord Texan Resort in Grapevine, Texas, will host “All-American SummerFest.” This celebration focuses on classic summer traditions, including festive pool parties, synchronized light and fountain shows, live entertainment, and special Fourth of July events. The programming is designed to blend relaxation with high-energy family activities and diverse dining options.
The “All-American SummerFest” at Gaylord Opryland will feature “America’s Birthday Party & Fireworks,” a celebratory event with family activities culminating in a fireworks display. The “Cascades Pool Party” will offer poolside entertainment, games, and music. A resort-wide “The Great American Road Trip Scavenger Hunt” is also planned, allowing guests to explore iconic American landmarks within the resort. The “Sounds of America Lights and Fountain Show” will provide a nighttime spectacle accompanied by music.
At Gaylord Texan, guests can enjoy the “Aqua Glow Party,” a luminous pool party with a DJ and family-friendly activities. “America’s 250th Birthday Bash” will take place every Saturday night in the Lone Star Atrium, featuring patriotic music, dancing, and festive moments. The resort will also offer “The Animals of America,” an educational meet-and-greet experience with wildlife and handlers. As with the “Super Hero Summer” events, details on specific activations and daily offerings for “All-American SummerFest” will vary by resort.
The summer programming will run across different dates. “Super Hero Summer” at Gaylord National and Gaylord Palms begins May 22, 2026, and runs through September 6 and September 7, respectively. Gaylord Rockies will also host “Super Hero Summer” from May 23 to September 7, 2026. “All-American SummerFest” at Gaylord Opryland and Gaylord Texan starts May 22, 2026, concluding on September 7, 2026. The new “Super Hero Summer” at Gaylord Pacific will launch on June 20, 2026, and run until August 16, 2026.
