The steam cleaners, which were available in green, gray, white, blue, and dark blue, were sold with various attachments, including a grout brush, detail brushes, and a scraping tool, and may have included an extension hose, fabric steamer, and steam squeegee, all in gray.
The hazard arises because the steam cleaner attachments can unexpectedly detach during operation, releasing hot water or steam that can cause serious burns to users. BISSELL has received a substantial number of reports detailing this issue, with 206 incidents reported. These reports include 161 instances of burn injuries, with one reported second-degree burn. Consumers can identify the affected products by their model numbers, which are printed on a label on the bottom of the unit.
