Beginning Wednesday, April 1, 2026, residents of Martinsburg will benefit from a new city-wide weekly curbside recycling collection. This change, announced by the City of Martinsburg, aims to simplify the recycling process and ensure more consistent service for all households. The city is expanding its recycling fleet from two to four trucks to accommodate the increased collection frequency.

The shift to a weekly schedule is intended to reduce confusion regarding pickup weeks and minimize the occurrence of missed collections, thereby offering greater flexibility to residents. In addition to the new curbside service, the existing Saturday drop-off option at the 325 E. Stephen Street Recycling Center will continue to be available. Residents can find more information regarding this revised recycling program through materials provided by the City of Martinsburg.
