The Baltimore City Fire Department (BCFD) responded to a serious dwelling fire early Saturday morning in the 500 block of W. Mosher Street, which resulted in the tragic death of a juvenile. The incident, reported shortly before 3:30 a.m., saw firefighters confront significant smoke and flames upon arrival.
The fire was quickly escalated to a working fire status as crews worked to extinguish the blaze and conduct thorough searches of the affected residence. During these initial search efforts, firefighters discovered a young patient in cardiac arrest within the home. Emergency medical personnel immediately administered life-saving interventions before transporting the individual to a local hospital. Despite these efforts, the patient was later declared deceased. The fire directly impacted one dwelling, and no injuries were reported among the responding BCFD personnel. The origin and cause of the fire are currently under active investigation.
