The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has announced a recall of hydromassage rotary jets, specifically the six-fin model, used in Highlife Collection spas manufactured by Watkins Manufacturing Corporation. The recall, issued in conjunction with Canadian authorities, addresses a significant safety concern where these jets can create a suction force capable of entangling a user’s hair, potentially leading to submersion and posing entanglement and drowning hazards. Approximately 32,900 units sold in the United States and an additional 853 units in Canada are affected by this recall.

The recalled jets are found in Highlife Collection spas from model years 2023, 2024, and 2025. The affected spa models include Grandee, Envoy, Vanguard, Aria, Prodigy, Sovereign, Jetsetter, and Jetsetter LX. These jets were also sold as replacement parts. The spas were sold nationwide by independent pool and spa dealers between October 2022 and September 2025, with prices ranging from $16,000 to $24,000 for the spas and $18 to $35 for replacement parts. Consumers can identify if their spa is affected by locating the serial number on the front of the spa and then checking the firm’s website.
Watkins Wellness, the importer of the jets, has received one report of a consumer’s hair becoming entangled in the jets. Fortunately, no injuries have been reported in connection with this issue. Consumers are urged to immediately stop using the recalled jets. To address the hazard, the company will provide instructions and a video demonstrating how to turn off the affected jets and install free replacement jet inserts.
Consumers can contact Watkins Wellness toll-free at 888-450-5748 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. ET, Monday through Friday. Alternatively, they can email jetrecall@watkinsmfg.com or visit the dedicated recall page at http://www.hotspring.com/recalls for further information and to determine if their spa is part of the recall. The company, located in Vista, California, manufactured the jets in China. The recall number assigned is 26-268.
