Audiences will join Dorothy and her iconic companions on their journey down the Yellow Brick Road to meet the Wizard. The ballet boasts original choreography by Danielle Horochowski, with contributions from Amy Wrobleski, and will be performed to a score by Dmitri Shostakovich. The production promises a spectacle for all ages, featuring a cast of 70 dancers, elaborate costume designs, and dazzling theatrical effects.
Tickets for “The Wizard of Oz” ballet will become available for pre-sale to the public on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at 12:00 PM. To access this pre-sale, patrons can use the code “TWISTER” on Ticketmaster.com. This exclusive pre-sale period will conclude on Friday, February 20, 2026, at 11:00 AM. Following the pre-sale, tickets will go on sale to the general public on Friday, February 20, 2026, at 12:00 PM. For those interested in purchasing tickets for groups of eight or more, direct contact with the local Box Office at 301-790-2000 is recommended.
The Maryland Theatre Box Office, located in the Theatre’s lobby at 21 S. Potomac Street in Hagerstown, MD, will handle ticket sales. Patrons can purchase tickets in person during regular Box Office hours or by phone. The Box Office operates on Tuesdays from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM, Wednesdays from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM, Thursdays from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM, and Fridays from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Additionally, the Box Office opens one hour prior to scheduled events, unless otherwise noted. For those who prefer to purchase tickets online, the Maryland Theatre’s website, mdtheatre.org, will redirect patrons to Ticketmaster.com for 24/7 sales.
In addition to “The Wizard of Oz,” other upcoming performances at The Maryland Theatre include “A Taste of Ireland” on Sunday, March 29, 2026, at 3:00 PM, and BISFA’s presentation of “Hadestown Teen Edition” on Saturdays, April 18 and 25, at 7:30 PM, and Sundays, April 19 and 26, at 2:30 PM.
