Chambersburg Police Seek Information on Hit-and-Run Incident

Chambersburg, PA – The Chambersburg Police Department is seeking public assistance in connection with a hit-and-run incident that occurred on December 8, 2025. Authorities responded to the 200 block of South Third Street where a parked silver Chevrolet SUV sustained damage to its driver’s side mirror. The vehicle responsible for the collision reportedly fled the scene without stopping to exchange information.

The striking vehicle is described as a dark-colored SUV or van. Investigators believe the vehicle continued traveling southbound on South Third Street after the incident. The Chambersburg Police Department is urging anyone who may have witnessed the event or possesses any information regarding the identity of the responsible vehicle or driver to come forward. Tips can be submitted directly to the Chambersburg Police Department or through the Crimewatch platform. The incident is classified as an “All Other – Criminal” case and is currently ongoing.
