The Frederick Police Department is actively seeking the cooperation of residents and businesses in the Frederick area to assist in their ongoing investigation of a homicide that occurred in the 1200 block of Danielle Drive. Detectives are specifically requesting that individuals review any available surveillance footage from their security cameras, doorbells, or other recording devices for activity that may have transpired between 5:00 a.m. and 6:30 a.m. on January 26, 2026.

The police department has established a secure online portal where individuals can submit any captured photos or video. This includes footage that may appear suspicious, as well as that which does not, as even seemingly uneventful recordings can be crucial in establishing timelines and supporting investigative efforts. Detectives are encouraging anyone who observed any suspicious persons, vehicles, or unusual activity during the specified timeframe to submit their findings. The Frederick Police Department emphasizes its commitment to fostering a safe environment through strong community partnerships. Individuals with pertinent information or surveillance footage are urged to contact Detective Yackovich directly via call or text at 240-549-4450 or by email at KYackovich@FrederickMDPolice.org. For those who prefer to provide information anonymously, the Frederick Police Department’s Crime Tip Line is available at 301-600-TIPS (8477). The department also partners with Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland, which may offer cash rewards of up to $2,000 for information leading to an arrest.
