The affected products, available in Fresh Clean Scent and Orange Twist Scent, come in 24-oz, 32-oz, and 1-gallon sizes. Bottles are orange and white with “Angry Orange” and “Stain & Odor Remover” printed on the front. Some units were also sold in bundles that included a UV light attachment for the spray bottle. The bacteria Pseudomonas aeruginosa, a common organism found in soil and water, can pose a serious infection risk to individuals with weakened immune systems, those with external medical devices, or individuals with underlying lung conditions. Infection can occur through inhalation, contact with the eyes, or breaks in the skin. While people with healthy immune systems are typically unaffected, the potential for serious illness necessitates this recall.

Consumers who have purchased the recalled Angry Orange Enzyme Stain Removers are urged to immediately stop using the product. To receive a full refund, customers must provide Thrasio with a photograph of the product with the word “recalled” and their initials written on it in marker. This photograph should be emailed to productrecall@angryorange.com. Once the photo is submitted, consumers should dispose of the product in its original container with their regular household trash. It is important not to empty the product before disposal, and the bottles should not be recycled.

The recalled stain removers were sold at major retailers including Walmart, Target, The Home Depot, Meijer, Staples, and TJ Maxx, as well as online through Amazon.com, Walmart.com, Target.com, AngryOrange.com, and Chewy.com. The price range for these products was between $4 and $60. Thrasio, the distributor based in Boston, Massachusetts, manufactured these products in the United States. Thus far, no incidents or injuries have been reported in connection with this recall.
